ABOUT ABOUT

Babes Ride 'n Rage is a 3-day, self guided womxn's motorcycle adventure into northern Ontario.  We are a crew of all ages, with different bikes/skills, who just want to ride and have fun in the woods with likeminded babes. We are strongly anti-racist, anti-homophobic, and discrimination of any kind will absolutely not be tolerated. We want to continue to work to dismantle the inherent white settler privilege we are afforded through learning, and uplifting the voices of those who have been silenced for too long.
We're rocking this party starting Friday, Sept 11th til Sunday the 13th, for the 5th year at the beautiful Fishers Paradise in Field, Ontario. (7th year of the run overall, good number!)

We have a few new ticket options this year! The basic is the RSVP $55 standard ticket, as per previous years. You can also purchase a glamping site add on, to be shared with 4 other attendees - there are only 3 total glamping sites available! They include a 12 x 12 canvas tent with two twin size memory foam mattresses, private outhouse, picnic table and firepit with plenty of space for tenting and your sweet rides parked right outside.

We also have two ticket options with donations - they include a $20 donation to one of two organizations that we would like to support in our continued efforts to be anti-racist and uplift the voices of our sisters - Black Lives Matter Canada (https://blacklivesmatter.ca/) and the Native Women's Association of Canada (https://www.nwac.ca/) - we encourage you to research both and will be announcing the totals raised at camp, with posted donation receipts online.

What does the $55 cover? We got you for camp costs for both nights, wood for the giant firepit AND the private river front sauna at base camp, drinking water (fuck plastic bottles, bring a resuable container please!), coffee/tea, access to canoes / paddleboats / beach / river swimming, power source for phone charging, chances to win sweet prizes, CLEAN portapotties, multiple hand washing stations, hand sanitizer, plus tons of fun with moto games, and epic fireworks show and a few new activities at camp!  We will have raffle tickets for sale at camp for prize packs, donated by our rad as fuck sponsors.

20% of raffle sales will be donated to Trans Lifeline (https://www.translifeline.org/) - a trans-led organization that connects trans people to the community, support and resources need to survive and thrive.

We are also doing a donation drive! Bring any unopened menstrual products to trade in for raffle tickets! We will be amassing as much as we can to donate to Moontime Sister Ontario (https://truenorthaid.ca/moon-time-sisters/). Don't have space on the bike? Grab supplies in town when you get groceries! We are matching all donations made to Moontime Sisters, to double the impact.

We will have some amazing BRNR swag this year that we're going to sell at camp, as well as an opportunity for a limited run of a surprise, super sick preorder, that will be sent out to those who've RSVP'd so far.

As per the 'self guided moto adventure' tag line - this run only has a few rules, and is not a catered, glamping style event. This is "off grid camping" without going totally & completely off-grid. Basically, this means the electricity provided is by a gas generator that we rent. The bathrooms are rented portapotties. The roads from Sturgeon Falls to camp are not perfect - they are single laned, roughly paved & narrow. Please take your time on them! We don't have selfie stations, influencers, or shady tattoo tents. We have access to a beautiful river front property and 7 years experience throwing this shindig.
If you're bringing a dual sport or dirt bike we have private trails to rip, at your own discretion.

Please also note due to COVID-19 concerns - the event is run entirely outdoors, but some common sense rules will apply - do your best to keep a safe distance and / or wear a mask at your discretion, frequent hand washing and a back up plan to head home early if you start to feel sick. We're all adults, let's respect each other and do our part to make sure it's a fun and safe event for everyone. No common cooking utensils will be provided this year, and we will be asking everyone to keep their tents a reasonable distance apart, so that we can spread out and utilize the full extent of the property!

We will also be providing everyone at registration with a coloured ribbon to wear - each colour will denote how comfortable you are with distancing, from bring it in high fives approved to please be courteous and keep your distance from me.

You are responsible for your own meals, but we will provide some basic supplies like tinfoil etc to help cook on the fire.
Gas stations, restaurants, chip trucks, grocery/beer stores are all within 15-20 mins from camp if you can't haul it all from home - but we do ask that you try to minimize the amount of local shopping you are doing, and be mindful of mask wearing / hand sanitizing.

We are not pre-planning group rides to camp but we will make a post on Instagram & Facebook to encourage those who want to connect :)
We will have a few planned group events this year that will be detailed for you when you register at arrival - very much in a DIY spirit, join if you're into it, or do your own thing. Think mushroom foraging in the woods, making witchy floral crowns with an expert florist, moto yoga stretch sesh, and more. Have a fun skill you'd like to share? Hit us up and let's chat!
Weather permitting we have some cool motos games planned for Saturday afternoon.

Babes Ride and Rage takes place on the traditional territories of the Nbisiing Anishinaabeg people. The Anishinababeg, along with members of the Huron-Wendat, Algonquin, and Ojibwe First Nations, have been living on and caring for the land along the shores of Lake Nipissing and its many waterways — including the Sturgeon River — since time immemorial. The name "Nipissing" comes from an Ojibwe word meaning "little water," and is likely in reference to the nearby Great Lakes, which were important trade routes for the Nbissing. Today, these places are still home to many indigenous people from across Turtle Island, who continue to care for this land and these waters. We are grateful to have the opportunity to camp and ride on this land.

Lastly, some FYI notes to round it all out :
*NO refunds. Sorry but it costs us money to send you your money back.
*Be prepared! Pack rain gear, have basic knowledge of how to camp as you will be in the forest and most importantly: know your route to camp AND home! Save it to your phone, tape it to your tank, print it out etc etc.
* We (Betsy, Cas or anyone affiliated with Babes Ride N Rage) are not responsible or liable for any rider who attends Babes Ride N Rage. Riding motorcycles is dangerous. Be safe. Be smart.
Generally, all around - Don't.Be.A.Dick.
Be kind. Be thankful.
*During Fireworks show please PLEASE please stay at a safe distance. This shit is dangerous. Sit back, chill and let our crew make magic happen!
* Most importantly HAVE FUN! Talk to strangers, do crazy shit, stay up late, wake up early, do something you've never done, punch that pinata, shotgun that beer, jump in that river naked!!!!
We look forward to meeting you, or reuniting with you!
XOXO
